Thelma Meyer is known for her cleaning products, Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day, that you can find in Target, Whole Foods, Gelson’s and many other stores across the nation. Mrs. Meyer’s now 83 years young and a mother of 9, has inspired Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day when she was shopping one day with her daughters and couldn’t find products that smelled nice. She came up with an idea, “Let’s make cleaners that smell nice, like my mom’s garden, but still work like the dickens on daily dirt and grime.” Her products are made with fresh scents like basil, honeysuckle, lavender, cranberry, just to name a few and they aren’t made with harsh chemicals, they are made with plant-derived ingredients and essential oils. They are environmentally friendly and they are my favorite “green” brand.
Mrs. Meyers shares some of her beauty tips with us:
First Job: When I was nearly 18 I took a job helping a mother with 4 children doing laundry, cleaning and watching the children

One Beauty Tip You Learned from Your Mother: To use a moisturizing cream on my face. My mother always smeared Pond’s cream on her face after washing it every morning.
Recent Beauty Splurge: When I was asked to be the “Mrs. Meyers” A whole new world opened for me to look really great, so I had to splurge on a bunch of beauty items.
I don’t leave home without: I try to have a brush and lipstick.
Drugstore favorite: Any moisturizer
Beauty inspiration: My mother, who was a very strong woman. Also my mother-in-law who never wore any make-up ever.
How I relax: I was told by my doctor how to do this when I had 4 children under 2. Lie down and take deep breaths and sink deeply into the bed as if floating on a cloud for 10 minutes. Now, a daily nap with feet up is my cup of tea. Just 10 minutes makes a world of difference
Always in my fridge: milk, eggs, water filter pitcher
Guilty pleasure: anything dark chocolate
Beauty product that should be invented: Something that keeps the face moist, wrinkle free, and in a constant smile!!
