Here are Bambi’s must have’s:
Whether I’m on duty as a Model or a Mommy, there are a few beauty products I try not to go without.
As time goes by I’ve noticed my skin slightly changing although I’m lucky enough to still feel comfortable without concealers or foundations, my favorite all in one minor blemish hiding powder is Studio Fix by M.A.C.. It’s a bit thick for everyday use but that’s what I prefer. It makes me feel like I have that barely airbrushed look which to me is ideal. 😉
My natural skin tone has an olive, tan look and being the California girl that I am I’ve been known to get pretty dark during summer months. Now living in much cooler Canada, my skin sees less sun so a lot of the year I tend to be much lighter than before. That being said I switch between two different colors depending on my skins current glow. They have many colors to choose from and are always very helpful if you don’t know your tone. I’d suggest walking into any M.A.C. store and asking to be color tested for your best results.
Another must have in my makeup space is Voluminous by L’Oreal. I’m obsessed with beautiful full eyelashes and have tried SO many different mascara in a wide range of price and have never found one that compares. I don’t feel feminine if I can’t see my eyelashes, I know, I know it’s silly. Lol I could have my hair in a mess and wearing sweats but if my eyelashes are long and full I’m a happy camper. Haha The best part is that I can grab this mascara at almost any pharmacy any time of day or night if I’m on the go and forgot to pack it or have run out. I switch it up between Black Noir and Carbon Black. The darker and thicker the better for me. I also want to be clear that I do keep mentioning them being dark and full but this mascara is perfect if you want a more natural lighter look as well, it doesn’t clot up or make your eyelashes clump together. I just add an extra coat after it dries when I want the more dramatic look.
It comes in brown colors as well.
My one don’t leave home without it item would have to be my lip liner. Glimmersticks by Avon in one of two colors, Simply Spice and Mystery Mauve. I’ve been addicted to these for who knows how many years now. Unfortunately, you can’t find Avon very easily these days, years ago I tried them and now buy them in bulk so I never run out! Both colors are close to a neutral on my skin and I’m able to pair either one with almost any lipstick color, gloss or even just a simple Chapstick. I can go light giving my lips just a bit of definition for a more natural look and I can also apply darker to pair with different shade of gloss and lipstick. Probably because I have so many laying around, I make sure there’s one in every bag, my car, my bathrooms. Haha. I love the fact that if I’m running around as mommy and haven’t gotten ready I can quickly throw on some liner, Chapstick or gloss and sunglasses and still look as though I’ve prepared to run into just about anyone.
