Weekend Recipe: Tahini Hot Chocolate

Tahini Hot Chocolate tastes so good.  It has a slight nutty taste and isn’t overly sweet.  It’s a great and rich drink to revamp your hot chocolate.

Tahini is healthy and is rich in magnesium, potassium and iron.  It is also high in B vitamins (which will improve your mood), and it is high in vitamin E which is great for your immunity, and cell structure. Tahini is high in Methionine which helps your liver detoxify. It can prevent anemia.  It is easy to digest and is high in alkaline minerals which can help you in weight loss.

 

INGREDIENTS: to make 2 servings

2 cups Vanilla almond milk
3 tablespoons tahini
1 1/2 ounces chopped bittersweet chocolate

Heat 2 cups unsweetened almond milk, whisking to dissolve syrup, until hot Add 3 tablespoons tahini (or to taste) and 1 1/2 ounces chopped bittersweet chocolate; whisk until smooth.  If you need it to be a little sweeter add sugar in the raw to taste. If you want it to have more of a vanilla taste add a small splash of pure vanilla extract.

 

Toppings: mini marshmallows, shaved chocolate or whip cream.
