Foods that Balance Your Chakras

foods that heal chakras

Life can get hectic and crazy.  It’s hard to find time for yourself  and that can cause you to feel anxiety, stress and make you feel overwhelmed.  Even though I exercise every morning sometimes I need some quiet time just for myself and I have been listening to Chakra mediations every night. I do it in the evening to release the craziness of the day to allow myself to relax and it has helped me sleep better.  I have been focusing on my Crown Chakra, Heart Chakra and Third Eye Chakra.  I learned that you can eat foods that will help balance your Chakras.

First of all, what are Chakras?

Chakras are in the center of our bodies where energy flows.  We have seven Chakras, the Root Chakra, the Sacral Chakra, Solar Plexus Chakra, Heart Chakra, Throat Chakra, Third Eye Chakra, and the Crown Chakra.  Your Chakras can get disrupted/blocked by things in your daily life-like using your mobile phone too much, from stress and emotions that are out of balance. We often have to center our energy and align our Chakras again and we can do that with meditation and the things we eat. This will help keep the energy flowing.

Root Chakra is associated with the color red and is the base of your spine. It is the Chakra that is closest to earth and is what helps keeps us grounded.  It’s our foundation. If you are feeling fear, you procrastinate a lot, or if you have low self-confidence your Root Chakra may be blocked.

Sacral Chakra is associate with the color orange and is located at your navel.  This Chakra effects your kidneys, bladder, reproductive organs, and lower abdomen.  If you lack of creativity, emotional problems, or feel obsessive/compulsive your Sacral Chakra may be blocked.

Solar Plexus Chakra is associated with the color yellow and is located right above your navel.  This Chakra is connected to your emotional life. In your body it affects your digestive system, muscles, and if it is blocked it can make you feel frustrated, angry or feel like you have a lack of direction.  When it is balanced you will feel joy, centered, and have a sense of more personal power.

Heart Chakra is located in our heart area and is connected to our ability to love.  The color connected with the Heart Chakra is green.  It is connected with compassion, harmony and peace. In your body it is connected to your lungs, heart, arms, and hands.  When it is blocked it can affect your immune system making you feel run down, it can also make you feel a lack of compassion and also affect your ability to have relationships with others.

Throat Chakra is associated with the color blue or turquoise and is located in the throat and neck area. It helps our ability to communicate, our creativity, and self-expression. It effects the neck, shoulders, arms, hands and thyroid. When the Throat Chakra is blocked it blocks our creativity, our ability to have clear ideas, healing and our ability to communicate.

Third Eye Chakra  is associated with the color Indigo and is located in the pineal gland which is the center of the forehead. Our ability to focus on, see the big picture, and our intuition.  When your Third Eye Chakra is unbalanced it will lead to selective memory, you could feel depressed and lack the ability to see things clearly.

Crown Chakra is located on the top of the head and is associated with the color violet. It is our highest Chakra and affects the ability to be fully connected spiritually. It is connected to our nervous system.  If it is disrupted or blocked it will affect the way we process information, understanding and acceptance.
