So you are working out but sometimes it’s hard to know what to eat when you are trying to stay lean.  Eating right and eating clean is important when you are watching you weight and trying to meet your fitness goals.  What you eat plays a major part in how to manage your weight, tone, and stay fit.  When you work out your muscles become fatigued so there are foods that will help rebuild the muscles. We all get food cravings, whether it is fries or candy once in a while you just get a craving.  If you are craving fast food more than fruits and veggies that means you are eating too much junky food and that you have too much fat in your diet.  Today we have made a list of foods that you might crave, the reasons why your body is craving them and some healthy alternatives.  Don’t give into the junk food! Candy, Sugar, Cookies,  donuts, Cupcakes or anything sugary. Sometimes when I try a new challenging class the next day my muscles are so sore.  I like feeling sore after working out but not to the point where I can’t get on with my day.  If that happens to you here is a list of food for you to try to relieve muscle soreness.   Tart Cherry juice. Tart cherry juice will help relieve muscle soreness and has a high level of antioxidants and anti-imflammatory properties. Cherries contain anthocyanins, which helps relieve muscle pain and weakness, inflammation, and cellular damage that occurs after hard exercise.  If you don’t want to drink it alone add it to a smoothie.  If you can’t find tart cherry juice you can also drink  grape, pomegranate, acai, blueberry and cranberry.  These juices contain natural NSAIDs (nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, such as ibuprofen and aspirin).
