Butter London Bloody Brilliant Lip Crayon

I’m in love with Butter London’s Bloody Brilliant Lip Crayons.  They have changed my mind on my feelings on Lip Crayons.  I usually am not a fan of lip crayon’s so I never have good expectations from them. I find crayons to be too creamy so that they bleed and become messy.  Also, I don’t like how crayons are hard to sharpen because they are so soft.  Butter London’s Lip Crayon’s are creamy but they are not messy.  I love how moisturizing they are and how glossy they look on.  They have that lip gloss look without the stickiness of a lip gloss.

I tried four different colors, Tea With The Queen, Disco Biscuit, Teddy Boy, and Ruby Murray.   Bloody Brilliant Lip Crayons are made with Mango Seed Oil and Marula Oil both of these help with lip moisturization.  They made my lips feel smooth and soft. They also have pencil sharpeners built into the cap which is so great.  When you apply them they have a slight minty scent, it’s very faint.   It doesn’t say that there is a lip plumper in this but my lips looked fuller and smoother when I wore these.  My lines on my lips were gone and they looked better.  I also love the point on the lip crayons.  They are very easy to apply and they don’t bleed at all. I didn’t need a lip liner or concealer with them.

Tea With The Queen is  soft cream nude.  The color doesn’t look like the photo.  It looks lighter, more of true nude.  It’s not as opaque as a lipstick but it’s not sheer.  You can layer it and build the color.  It’s a perfect color for everyday and also it would look pretty with a smokey eye for the evening.

Disco Biscuit is what they call a “bubblegum pink”.  The pink has blue undertones which is very flattering on most skin tones.  What I love about these lip pencils is that you can wear them sheer or opaque.  I layered the color on for a fun bright pink.  I also just did one thin layer for a hint of pink on my lips. I love this color. When it comes to lip colors, I tend to be drawn to pinks and nudes.

Teddy Boy was a color I didn’t think I would like.  It looked dark and old ladyish when I saw it.  I was pleasantly surprised when I applied it.  It looks super pretty on.  It’s a pinky, rose, mauveish color.  It is really flattering on my lips.  It makes my lips look healthy and full.  I have been wearing it almost everyday.  I really love it.

The last color I tried is Ruby Murray.  It is also a color that I normally wouldn’t choose.  It just very dark looking and I tend to stay away from berry’s and reds.  I like this color.  It’s a berry, it has a warm look and it has a touch of sparkle in it.  I think it’s a great color for fall, and for the holiday’s.  I can imagine it on a fall day with a warm, cozy cashmere sweater.  When I wore it, I got a lot of compliments and so many girls at The Grove asked me what color lipstick I was wearing.
