Coachella is always fun but it’s long days and nights. Dancing in the desert, at pool parties, at events and drinking all day. I know every time I come home from Coachella I feel like I need another vacation just to recuperate. If you need to go straight to work, school or just back to life, here are some beauty products that you need to fake it till you recover. You can hide all traces of tiredness with these simple steps, anytime you have a weekend of partying.
Here are some post party essentials:
You don’t want your face to show that you have been partying till 4am for a few nights. First thing first, you need to hydrate, drink plenty of water. I have been drinking Core Hydration it helps get your natural pH in your body balanced. I love trying new waters and this water tastes really crisp and fresh. It goes through a purifying process and has electrolytes and minerals that you probably lost. You can replenish them with Core and it also has a pH of 7.4 which is what our natural pH is in our bodies. It’s also a celebrity favorite everyone from Madonna, Karli Kloss, Katy Perry and so many more choose it as their water choice. Learn more about Core Hydration.
Your hair probably needs some TLC, I would wash it and rinse it with apple cider vinegar to remove all the glitter, dust and products you used for the weekend. After you have shampooed and rinsed your hair with apple cider vinegar put a really good hair mask on. I love Leonor Greyl Paris, Masque Fleurs de Jasmin. It’s a deep conditioning mask that can be used on all hair types. It will breathe new life into your hair. It contains Acacia collagen that help protect and nourish your hair. I love the fragrance, it’s floral and makes me think of warm summer nights. This hair mask will transform dry, brittle hair into shiny, soft hair. It’s really the best, you can thank me later. Find it here, Leonor Greyl.
Now for your face because it shouldn’t reveal all those late nights. Wash your face with a gentle cleanser that can also remove your makeup. You don’t want your face to be stripped of all of your natural oils which will dry it out more and cause break outs. Coachella is dusty and you might have fell asleep with your makeup on one or two nights in a row. Use something like Vi Derm Cleanser. I love this cleanser because it is gentle, free of sulfates and parabens. It will help brighten your skin tone and can be used on all skin types. Vi Derm is an aloe vera based cleanser so if you forgot to put on your sunblock and have a sunburn this will be very gentle on your sensitive skin. It removes build up and leaves your skin feeling soft and clean. You can get it here, Vi Aesthetics.
The next step to getting your skin back on track is to exfoliate. When you exfoliate it will make your skin look brighter and healthier. You need to have a post Coachella glow. Try this gentle scrub from Christie Brinkley. It is gentle enough to use on all skin types but strong enough to remove dry skin, clean pores and remove dirt. It will leave your skin looking radiant. You can find it here, Christie Brinkley Authenitc Skincare.
After you have washed and exfoliated your skin, you need to moisturize it. Whether your skin is dry or oily you need to add an oil before your moisturizer. I recommend Pangea Organics Balancing Oil to get your skin looking its best. Not only does this oil help with anti-aging it will also help regenerate skin cell turnover. It fades scars, helps prevent breakouts, it’s gentle and absorbs quickly. It will help your tired skin looked more refreshed. I love how soft it leaves my skin feeling. It also doesn’t just sit on top of my skin like some natural oils do. This is such a great beauty essential that it will be part of your everyday routine. Find it here, Pangea Organics.
You need a really good moisturizer, it makes a huge difference in how your skin looks. I am obsessed with Drunk Elephant’s Lala Retro Whipped Cream. This moisturizer is rehab for your skin. It does wonders to it, it will help brighten, lock in moisture making your skin look at its very best. It has six rare African Oils, it will help your skin regain elasticity and firmness. It has anti-oxidant’s that help fight against environmental stressors. Any skin type can use this. I love how light it feels on yet it’s still really hydrating. It won’t leave your skin looking shiny. It’s my new favorite moisturizer. I can’t live without it now. Get yours here, Drunk Elephant.
The last thing you need for your post Coachella skin rehab is face mask. I know that sometimes it’s hard to fit a face mask into your daily skincare routine. This one makes adding a face mask to your routine a no brainer. You put it on before you go to bed and then wake up with beautiful skin. The scent is also soothing and will help you fall asleep quicker. Masque Bar Sleeping Mask is amazing and you can pretty much find it anywhere (Target, Boots, Walgreens, Ricky’s & RiteAid). You put this mask on before bed and rinse it off in the morning with water. If you have dry skin or irritated skin it will help brighten and hydrate it. It contains lavender extract, aloe, and witch hazel.
Last but not least, don’t forget your hands. Your hands are a dead giveaway for your age and we often forget to moisturize them. That’s why you need to carry this hand cream from Molton Brown with you at all times. I admit that I don’t have that many hand creams, but ever since I got this one I have been putting it on non-stop. I love it so much. It smells amazing, it is Comice Pear and Wild Honey. It is limited edition so you better hurry and get yours. Besides the fragrance, it is so hydrating without feeling sticky or heavy. I hate hand creams because I can always feel them sitting on top of my skin. This one absorbs quickly and leaves my hands feeling soft. It’s always a good idea to have soft hands, spring and summer are the seasons for hand holding. Buy it here, Molton Brown.
