Staycations are one of my favorite ways to explore my own city. I try to do them as often as possible especially during this past year where traveling was not that easy. I just did a one night stay at L’Ermitage in Beverly Hills. It was just what I needed a little getaway to rest and rejuvenate. It is an all suite hotel, they have 116 suites that vary from single bedrooms, to 2-3 rooms. All of them are beautifully decorated and very spacious. When I choose hotels for staycations the room and amenities are very important to me because sometimes they are just one night stays and I want a place where I can really relax and feel rested so that it feels like I was on a vacation. I’ve dreamt of going to a wellness spa for years now and never have had the chance to. Until now, I went to Rancho La Puerta in Tecate, Mexico for a week. It’s a beautiful wellness resort that is tucked into the mountains surrounded by lots of lush greenery. It sits on 4,000 acres which include 40 miles of hiking trails, an organic farm, tennis courts and so much more. There are 86 casitas on the property as well as new residences that are for sale. There are so many activities to choose from from cooking classes, workout classes, art, spirituality classes to sex health classes. It is also a cell phone free property which makes it really nice to do a technology detox. The ranch doesn’t have rigid schedules that you have to follow. I love that so you can do as much or as little as you want.…

I needed a little getaway so I went up the coast to Hotel Cerro located in the heart of San Luis Obispo. If you haven’t been to SLO it’s a cute town with so many places to eat, shop and enjoy. Hotel Cerro is in the heart of it and it’s a short drive from LA and Orange County. It’s the perfect getaway because it’s not too far but the scenery is different that you feel like you are on a vacation. One thing that I love about Hotel Cerro is that the hotel practices sustainability. Every room has two water bottles for guests that you keep and refill at one of their many stations throughout the hotel. I have stayed in a lot of hotels and this is the…
