I wanted to find some safe places to travel and visit during the pandemic. I have been road tripping all up and down the coast during 2020 and now 2021. One place that I had on my list was going to Sonoma. It actually had been on my list of places to go before the pandemic and I am so glad that I came. I stayed at the gorgeous Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn it is such a beautiful property. It sits on 77 acres and has a golf course, spa and several pools that at thermally heated from the hot springs below the property. We stayed in a gorgeous suite called the Mission Suites. Now that things have been slowly opening up during the pandemic I have been searching for places to go that are a drive away. Santa Barbara has always been one of my favorite getaways because it’s a short drive from LA and Orange County. I took my mom and my friend to stay a couple of nights at the Hideaway Santa Barbara. It’s a cute boutique hotel that is tucked away in a neighborhood and it’s walking distance from Santa Barbara’s Funk Zone. Now that things are starting to reopen in California it’s a good time to start planning weekend excursions again. One of my favorite places to visit is Paso Robles. It is a short drive away and it has some very scenic places and amazing wines. I spent two days there recently and went to three wineries you should definitely add to your itinerary. Daou Vineyards and Winery is one of the more well known wineries in Paso Robles. They really have created a presence and for good reason, their wines are great. They also have some of the best views from their Vineyard. You have spectacular views of the valley and the atmosphere is lively and serene. They have really done a great job at social distancing tables so you will feel comfortable removing your mask while tasting. I really loved their rosé and their reds. Their grounds are stunning,…
