Now that things are starting to reopen in California it’s a good time to start planning weekend excursions again. One of my favorite places to visit is Paso Robles. It is a short drive away and it has some very scenic places and amazing wines. I spent two days there recently and went to three wineries you should definitely add to your itinerary. Daou Vineyards and Winery is one of the more well known wineries in Paso Robles. They really have created a presence and for good reason, their wines are great. They also have some of the best views from their Vineyard. You have spectacular views of the valley and the atmosphere is lively and serene. Overseas travel has been out of the question this year and that had me longing for my summers in Europe. I found my own piece of Europe in Paso Robles at Allegretto Vineyard Resort. The property has a zen feeling and transports you to Tuscany. You’ll feel like you are walking around the countryside of Italy. The resort is also centrally located in Paso Robles so you can explore the city. It’s the best getaway and if you are in Southern California it’s a great way to explore wine country and not have to head north. If you just want a lovely hotel stay there are so many things you can do while staying at Allegretto. You can wine taste on property, there is an Allegretto Wine tasting room that is located in the resort. They have beautiful single vineyard wines and estate wines. If you want a great dining…

I drove up the coast with my friend and headed to Pismo Beach which is a short drive from Orange County & LA but it’s just far enough to feel like you are on a vacation. We stayed at the Dolphin Bay Resort and Spa. Which is located on bluffs overlooking the ocean. The Dolphin Bay Resort will transport you to Hawaii. Walking around the property made me feel like I was a plane ride away on an island getaway. The rooms are gorgeous. They are spacious and great for a long term stay with family or friends. We stayed in a two bedroom suite that overlooked the ocean and we could hear the waves crashing at night through the window. I highly recommend a room that faces the…
